Barents Cross – Cultural Cheese Barents spektakel 2012 Kirkenes feb 8-12 organised by: Pikene på Broen For Barents Spektakel we processed a cheese with mixed milk from the four countries of the Barents Region. To develop the Barents cross-cultural cheese, we worked with the local cheese-master Ivar Øverliand got herbal advice from Anna Derås, from the local Sami people. The festival energy and great expresion of cultures was used to stimulate the process of milk turning to cheese, by processing in the middle of the crowd at the exhibition space. Samples of the finished cheese were served at the seminar Visionary Arctic a few days later. |
